James McCann is an investor and/or board member in 38 companies including some of the most exciting companies in the retail tech, food tech and consumer goods sectors including @boweryfarms, @datasembly, @takeofftechnologies, @jyve, @flashfoods, @grillos, @fetchrewards, @voicify, @deliv, @pensasystems, @afresh, and @anycart. Prior to becoming an early stage investor, Mr. McCann spent over 20 years in the grocery industry and was the CEO of several Tesco businesses in Europe and Asia, Carrefour France and latterly Ahold’s $26 billion US business. In his spare time he loves flying many types of aircraft and is a volunteer pilot for PALS helping patients get to and from their medical treatments center. He is also a trustee at Dana-Farber cancer institute in Boston.
